If you do not see HyperTerminal, it may not be installed.
Click Start > All Programs > Accessories > Communications.If you have the Windows XP CD, you should be able to find both of these files in the i386 directory on the CD.If HyperTerminal doesn't run in step 5 above, you may need to run the file in Windows compatibility mode for it to work, see: How to change the Windows compatibility mode. You should be able to find hypertrm.exe in C:\Program Files\Windows NT and hypertrm.dll in C:\Windows\System32. Simply copy those files into any directory on your machine and it will work. The two files you will need are hypertrm.dll and hypertrm.exe.
